What is Kurma?
A taste with a story.
Kurma is a traditional Trinidadian snack: slender pastry sticks, fried golden and glazed in warm spiced sugar. It travelled to the Caribbean with the Indian diaspora and, over generations, became something distinctly Trinidadian: lighter, crisper, perfumed with the islands.
In Caribbean homes it's a hospitality food, what you offer when someone walks through the door. We think it deserves to be discovered far beyond them.
